Our 1991 house, like most of the neighborhood, had blue polybutylene water line. Several local houses have had the lines rupture, or replaced them proactively. We knew about this years ago, and thought, "someday we should fix this."

Well a neighbor's house had a leak a few weeks ago, which moved up the priority to "someday soon." Then we met the excellent small crew who did the work, using special skills and equipment, and decided, "ASAP!"

These photos were mostly taken Tuesday, May 12, 2020. They parked the excavator on the street the previous evening, and finished up Wednesday morning.
