Cathie and I visited her cabin for a typical 2-night stay... During a very unusual (pandemic) time. Three weeks earlier, I ran up there alone for a single night to check status after nearly 6 months; discovering many blown-down trees, and a roof leak. This time, the weather was great, we both felt pretty healthy again, and we wanted to get up there, so we packed and went with great caution, and minimal interactions with the world.
We took one stretch break outdoors on the trip up, and later drove home non-stop, in fact in record time, 2:09 for 127 miles. There was a surprising amount of traffic everywhere, so we were in good company, but generally lighter and faster than usual.
I stayed very busy, and got a helluva workout, chainsawing through limbs and trunks on 7 of 12 blown-down trees, hauling slash and logs, trying to repair the roof leak, etc.
