"My only guess is a penstemon. Note this is past bloom." Right, I knew that when I took it, but I've seen little blue flowers on it. Must catch it earlier some year, and replace this with a photo showing the flower. There are just a few perennial specimens out on the mostly shady north side of the cabin.
