These are collected photos worth keeping from the Campark T-80 battery-operated trail camera (not a webcam) that I installed Feb 1, 2021 at Cathie's mountain cabin (10,100' in the north end of South Park, Colorado). (But not posting 5-sec videos I started adding later.) I also installed a cheap ($30) Tasco trailcam in 2026, facing a different way, and you can tell them apart by the labels on the images.
In 2026 I decided to revise and group the photos by category, then by date, to make the growing mass of them easier to skim by type of interest; also for me to identify and delete duplicates of no extra interest. I realized that nearly every image (trigger) resulted from one particular type of animal or other event. (Never mind hundreds of "false triggers" without any noticeable cause, that I mostly deleted unless they were otherwise of interest.)
After initial experimenting, I leave the cameras off while we are there to avoid many spurious photos/videos -- including, as I quickly learned, hundreds of IR-triggered pictures of campfire heat! So these are pictures downloaded during each visit, taken between visits.
After a few months of more false than good triggers, I reset the sensitivity setting from the default of medium to low, and that reduced the triggers a lot. No idea what we're missing, of course.
See N_Statistics\ for a summary of animals spotted.
