West from the Sugarloaf/MedBow saddle to the glacier-cut faces of the MedBow ridge... I debated continuing up Medicine Bow Peak for the 7th or so time, but decided that "just" heading north (cross-country) to South Gap Lake would be a better use of my time and aging energy.
