Cathie and I went to our mountain cabin in the north end of South Park for a couple of nights to see the trees changing, hear the elk, etc. Two friends came up separately to visit on the middle day: One for annual firewood hauling, and the other to hike 6 miles down the Colorado Trail from Kenosha Pass to Jefferson Lake for pickup... Then we visited the lake, and it was incredible for a while before clouds hid the sun (so I took and kept too many photos). Later I drove him back from the cabin to his car at Kenosha and he headed home.
