Despite entering the national park at 7 am, and driving up to Bear Lake to check it out, we had to return 4.4 mi to the Park&Ride (east end of red line), not even allowed to go around the Bear Lake loop to see if any of the 250 spots were available! Then waited a while until second bus, shuttled back to Bear Lake, started hike at 8:04 am. First up/down to the left, then all the way back to the right to the car.
