I could have lingered here longer (grin), but it was time to depart. Just below Odessa, we agreed to head down to the car the way we came (although via the direct Fern trail later, not Cub), rather than continuing one-way to Bear Lake, adding ~1.5 mi + 1400' more downhill, but avoiding 700' of gain + 2 shuttle bus rides back to the car.
