Trail junction (Cub/Fern) about 3.9 mi along our route, 2.7 mi back to the Cub TH across the bridge and turning right. "The Pool" is just a wide spot in the Big Thompson above the bridge.

Here we decided to continue at least up to Fern Falls and Lake, even though I was rather slow... "It's a stroll, not a sprint."
