I joined the monthly HP alumni hike in Rocky Mtn NP on a very snowy March morning, fortunately not too cold (26-29 deg) or windy. We did a typical "tourist route" (in summer) from Bear Lake past (across!) Nymph and Dream to Emerald Lake. We spent about 3.5 hours going 3.5 mi round trip with 650' of tough uphill gain to about 10,100' elevation. There were a total of 8 of us, including me and one other on cleats rather than snowshoes... We "swam" around a little, mostly on the upper section between Dream and Emerald.
