Stuck at home on a catheter(*) I found time to share on Facebook some pictures from recent adventures. Here's the description for this one.

On October 9, I and two friends (Sue Wolber and Rob Pickett) did a fabulous fall hike in RMNP (Rocky Mtn Natl Park) "up the hill" from home, total over 9 mi and 1500' gain, on a gorgeous fall day. We wanted to see the glacial-flour blue color of Lake Haiyaha (still persisting from the Chaos Canyon rockslide of June 28, google for videos), which was fabulous, and we actually visited six major named lakes through the day: Nymph, Haiyaha, Dream, Emerald, Dream and Nymph again, Bear, and Bierstadt.

It was so crowded in the park on a lovely day (I guess everyone else can read a forecast too) that we had to get on the free bus at the Park&Ride, no big deal except it was packed, and of course hardly anyone wearing masks (including us). We rode up to Bear Lake, and back down from the Bierstadt trailhead. I was surprised how great the aspen trees still were, compared with back on Sep 21.

(*) Thanks to the great god APAP(**), I was really feeling good most of the time, on a roll; heck, I hiked 14 mi in WY + CO on Fri + Sun, before the ER visit early Tue (Oct 11) am due to first time (been dealing with BPH for 11 years, thought I had it stabilized) complete anuria (aka urinary retention) => catheterization. Didn't realize they'd leave it IN for 7-30 days, and that's really miserable, I tell ya.

(**) Auto-titrating PAP, where the C in CPAP stands for Continuous, since late June. Has made a huge difference for me.
