Our 24th trip to visit Mom in Florida since Dad's death just over 10 years ago... Which we usually do in Nov or Feb, and were going to skip this time because of 10 nights last Mar/Apr (after 13 pandemic-induced months of not going), plus 8 nights in Aug, plus sister being there a couple of times in Nov. But on Dec 1, to my amazement, we found decent airfares and direct flight times one week ahead, and we went for it!
Thanks to the many days of work already on the house and landscaping this year, during this 7-night visit I was able to take off for three solo play-days, every other day: Kayak rental, nature preserve/swamp hike/wade, and a long beach hike.
