I went with two friends, Sue Wolber and Rob Pickett (see, I don't
always go alone, grin) up Crosier Mountain (9250') west of
Loveland, between the main and North Fork (Glen Haven) roads in the Big
Thompson Canyon. I hadn't been there in decades. It's a remarkably long
hike from the east trailhead, supposedly 10.2 mi, nearly 3300' of gain,
round-trip. This includes a 200+' drop into a valley on the way up,
that you gotta regain going back.
We took our time, out 0926-1815 (returning after sunset). Very slow
going up, which helped me avoid sore knees, 4:49 to the top.
