Here's pics from a wild solo dayhike in Wild Basin, at the southeast end of Rocky Mountain National Park. This time, WB trailhead (over 2 miles west of the paved highway south of Estes Park) cross-country (XC) up to Sandbeach Lake, then XC down Sandbeach Creek and past Twin Lakes to the Ouzel/Copeland trail out past the falls.

Wild Basin is a place I used to explore a lot, at least 9 times according to marginal notes on my old paper maps, but not for the past 25 years!
