Ever since moving to Colorado, I collected a little bit of mountain goat fur at times. Today and one other time this year, I ended up with over a gallon total, enough to play with. I tried washing, carding, and spinning it -- with terrible results, never able to get good yarn to knit anything from it. Even the fine hairs break into short tangled bits (neps and noils).
