This "small" (30 foot?) dead pine tree in view of the north window of the cabin fell over, which saved me the trouble of felling it. Here's how it appeared after I limbed and bucked it, before hauling it away with the wheelbarrow (four loads). The three longer logs too big for firewood, I added to the "someday log cabin outhouse pile."

I took home a slice from the base of this tree and counted at least 75 rings.
