Golden banner (Thermopsis montana, as in from the mountains), is a local native, widely visible at least when in bloom, throughout at least Colorado, Wyoming, and other nearby states. Also called false lupin, mountain goldenbanner, and golden pea.
We have this growing well around home in Fort Collins (~5000' elevation) after accidentally transplanting it years ago, along with a baby evergreen tree, from the mountain cabin (~10,100').
