After finishing the loop, hiking up to get the van, and loading the kayak, I drove up to a viewpoint parking lot. While it rained hard, I cleaned up and had lunch inside, then walked over for the view before leaving to drive home -- nonstop -- which surprisingly took only just 1:35, and that was via I-25 through town and skipping a $12 or so toll on E-470.
