After crossing (22 min paddling) to the Goose Islands, I found one spot with some rocks where I could land and exit the kayak (dodging most of the mud), then carry lunch and a drink bottle up to the nearest shade (from a cottonwood tree). Look very closely for my yellow kayak on the shoreline right of center!
