To our surprise Robert the excavator didn't bring his own equipment as he said he would, but instead had a rental dropped off Wednesday afternoon -- and groused later about the extra expense. Anyway he started bright and early Thursday morning at 8:15, did a perfect job on the 183' trench but an incompetent job on laying the power wire; yet finished it all within 7 hours -- then demanded immediate second-half payment (another $2000) even before it (failed) inspection later. Not Pleasant.
