We unloaded David's boat on the dock, then I carried all our gear to the pile you see by the kayak, somewhat covered by tarps to block hot sun, while David and Diana zoomed off to the gas station and returned later. I took this pic while walking a long way up the hill to get my car.

It was during this ascent that my second (left) eye underwent spontaneous PVD! (posterior vitreous detachment) Like the first one that happened to my other eye in March in Florida.

Strangely although both ("merely annoying") PVDs occurred away from home, in both cases I was able to get an urgent visit at the Eye Center in Fort Collins within 1-2 days to rule out (much more serious but relatively rare) retinal detachments.
