Years ago I discovered a weird route up to an incredible viewpoint to Rainbow Bridge with Navajo Mountain beyond it. This required climbing up the exposed friction slope on the rib you see here -- after crossing Bridge Creek, scrambling up a rocky gully, and traversing downstream a ways on an exposed ledge. Back then I could do it (twice), but today nearing age 70 it just felt too dicey, so I reluctantly bagged it. Of course I also examined other sketchy alternatives, and none of them were better.
