Hours later after beating a storm down the bad road to Tie Siding and having a rainy lunch there inside the van, I still didn't want to go straight home down US 287. So I explored around some RR tracks to the east, then drove Pumpkin Vine Road north for the first time -- all the way back to Vedauwoo! The viaduct I noted on the map about 6 miles off the pavement was not as interesting as I'd hoped.
