Oops... My worst ankle sprain in maybe a year... Look how this little root stuck out of an otherwise smooth trail (so I was walking fast and not watching my feet) and was hidden by shadows. Ouch!

As usual it really hurt a lot for a while, I was limping, but it slowly improved for the rest of the hike, nearly 2 miles back out (and by a different route), and over the next few days. Whew!

My foot hit the root just wrong. My scuffmarks from falling are also somewhat visible.
