In camp with good signal, reviewing the Ames Monument area I noticed this pinned "Sherman turntable". Given the poor weather forecast and being kind of tired anyway, rather than drive 7 unpaved miles up to Happy Jack to do a hike at Curt Gowdy, I went east to Cheyenne on I-80 with three stops. The first one was to explore around the Sherman townsite for over half an hour on an overcast, windy, chilly morning.
