On the third day of the trip (after 2 nights out), I paddled around a small part of Tongue River Reservoir for over 2.5 hr and 3.4 mi; then continued my mellow back-roads drive north via Rosebud Battlefield to Forsyth, MT, where I grabbed a campsite at Rosebud East along the Yellowstone River, had a leisurely evening showering and swimming at their surprisingly nice municipal pool, then a salad bar dinner at a place I found in town, and even built a campfire.
