Just a few miles south of Medicine Bow I found East Allen Lake on a map, discovered I could camp and boat there, so I did. After parking I decided there was time to loop the "pond" before dark... It was the shallowest, boggiest reservoir I've ever floated! I had to circle well in from the shoreline in most spots to avoid bottoming out, and couldn't beach the kayak much either.
