"On the way home" I went for a long (6 hr, 7 mi), tough (over 2000'), but scenic hike way up the hill at the north end of Breckenridge ski area, toward Peak 6 -- because that was the only place I could find free public parking up the hill. Peak 6 slopes didn't even exist when I skied there for my 9th and final time in 2002 (grin). Unfortunately due to wearing out and enduring a hailstorm, I stopped about 600' below the summit, but no regrets.
