A nice solid oak rolltop desk was abandoned in Lakewood by an evicted tenant. It was somewhat beat up although not actually antique (apparently made circa 1990). We hauled it in the truck to Loveland and loosely reassembled it in the condo garage. Then I enjoyed about 12 hours total over the next month (several visits) refinishing it and moving it upstairs, a fun and satisfying "toy project" even though we had no use for the desk!
