Passing north through Heavener, OK, late in the rainy day, wondering where to spend the night, I saw an intriguing sign for Runestone Park, which seemed vaguely familiar. I pulled over, checked on the web, saw that it used to be a state park but was now run by a non-profit, and apparently offered camping. Why not go 2-3 mi out of my way and see? So I did. Even though the park entrance sign said nothing about camping, and "closed at sunset".

Well I did find a poorly marked camping area mostly hidden in trees, figured out a way to pay online for a site, parked as level as I could locate near it, and spent a very quiet, rainy night! The next morning dawned clear and sunny (finally), and it looked like this. The nearby shower house needed a door code I lacked, but that was OK since I'd caught one the previous afternoon in Murfreesboro. And the other restroom building a bit down the hill by the gift shop was open.
