This was 5.5 hours later after leaving the tower. I found lunch in Hot Springs and finally connected by phone with the Murfreesboro RV Park (nice) as I was departing town. So instead of giving up for lack of a campsite and going west sooner, I headed south through Glenwood (McD ice cream stop, yum) toward Crater of Diamonds State Park.

It was a long, pretty, rainy drive to a pretty, soggy little RV park. I managed to build a second campfire here and roast more veggies I bought along the way, but then it rained again overnight and well into the next day...
