I knew other people working harder with better gear would take great photos for me! Here are a few where the photographer said it was OK to share them.

Corona detail during totality of the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse.
12 exposures (1/1000s to 2s) stacked in photoshop...
Location: Russellville, Arkansas
Canon 90D with 300mm lens
ISO-100, F-Stop f/8
Camera was controlled by a PC running the SetnC software
Tracked with GTi mount in solar tracking speed.
I set an approximate polar alignment during the day using a compass
for azimuth and set altitude using location’s latitude. Fortunately,
there was very little drift during the entire eclipse.
