"You don't normally see this kind of behavior in a major appliance..." Initially the water was percolating up from cracks throughout the asphalt and on the sides, and there wasn't an obvious source, but there was a loud low rumble in the middle of the street. Note the water emerging halfway up the driveway across the road.
