The most challenging bushwhacking we did, perhaps half a mile of this traverse to above a meadow/trail view, where then we turned back uphill on a ridge toward the saddle. I thought we'd visit the meadow to check out the wildflowers, but going down and back seemed redundant after what we'd already crossed!
