After hiking Fisher Towers the previous evening during lovely light, and getting to the Grand Junction motel really late and tired, I ended up sleeping in, finally departing at the 11 am checkout time, and giving up on yet another hike, to instead just enjoy a mellow but 300-mile-long drive back to Fort Collins... Where I hit a much-needed carwash (and did some shopping) before home!
