Pratt & Whitney R-2000 Twin Wasp
Derived from the Pratt & Whitney R-1830, this engine started out as the X-100, the 100th PW experimental powerplant. It was designed for the Douglas DC-4 and C-54 transports, the aircraft that played the greatest role in the Berlin Airlift. The radial engine is rated at 1,450 hp at 2,700 rpm.
