I really didn't intend to rent a kayak that day, and wasn't totally prepared for it either... Had everything I needed except a swimsuit or a dry change of underwear! Oh well, it was still worth $35 for a 2-hour jaunt out to the north tip of Caladesi Island and back. Even though windy and splashy -- no, I didn't stay dry.

Why the accidental (and short) kayak rental? I was gonna drive to one of two beaches for a long walk, but there was a half mile line of cars stopped to enter Honeymoon Island State Park, so I changed my mind and backtracked a little to SailHoneymoon. But having other plans for later, I couldn't stay out 4+ hours, so settled for a shorter rental than ever.
