Drive time from home to Estes Park, even on a quiet morning, was 42 mi but nearly an hour, plus half an hour more into the park to Bear Lake. This is approaching the entrance station with a full moon setting... Note the year-old burn scar on the right from the Troublesome fire that jumped the continental divide and nearly reached Estes!
