Oops. The tree went over into the branches of another one, that's good. But it didn't fall all the way, that's bad. And the rope went slack as soon as it started over, so I don't know if would have done any good.

This is after I climbed the far tree and untied the rope, but before I very carefully cut through the hinge from the safe back side, pushed the trunk away from me to the ground, and then limbed and bucked the tree one chunk at a time using "widowmaker" tree protocol.
