We decided we'd accidentally allowed a fast-growing Siberian elm tree in the back yard to get dangerously tall, and should trim it back. This involved using an electric chainsaw and a bowsaw carefully on both upper forks. Here's a branch pile pending cleanup after cutting down one fork (with one branch still hung up to remove).
