Morning in the Utah desert, followed by a long drive home: After 11 nights out, plus leaving Bullfrog later than hoped, hence stopping for darkness sooner, I was more than ready to finish the "commute". It took me 8 hours after reaching the pavement, with only 4 stops along the way.
But first -- boom! What the heck? Before sunrise, a thunderclap? I was already awake, just sleeping in, but got out and saw a thunderstorm to the southwest that might be upwind of me. I'd better get a move on packing, just in case! I was half a mile up a dirt road marked "impassible if wet..."
Fortunately the storm blew by to the west, so I had time for breakfast, admiring the view from a camp chair, before hitting the road. And it made for some spectacular scenery. Which included a herd of pronghorn nearby... (but no pics of them)
