A friend from Louisville (Jerry) came up for the afternoon to talk (out on the deck), eat watermelon, and then go for a middling hike on the west side of Fort Collins, which turned out to be 2:39, 3.9 mi, round trip, on an absolutely perfect and gorgeous spring evening. We found the Maxwell open space trailhead full, so parked 0.3 mi east at the frisbee golf course; west and north on the Foothills Trail up to the hogback, south to sit above the Aggie "A" on the hillside, and returned along the paved roads.
