After 16" of snow four days earlier, and then temperatures fluctuating near freezing, we suffered an annoying ice dam in a gutter on the northeast side of the house. The first sign of trouble was water noisily dripping down the inside of a family room window below. It ran across the soffit, some out the vents, and into the wall.
