This isn't the prettiest rock, but it's highly brecciated, very ancient (like 2.6 billion years) banded iron formation. It weighed over 170 pounds when I brought it home from the Miracle Mile area of Wyoming by car the previous summer. This is after soaking it in acid (not easy) to remove caliche, and getting it wet for the picture.
