The night after the eclipse we were glad to get a good, quiet night's sleep at Glendo Reservoir (Elkhorn campground) since we couldn't drive anywhere else anyway, until (would have been) much later the previous evening. By the time we rolled out of camp it had really quieted down. Rather than rush home, Cathie dropped me at the Bennett Hill boat ramp, helped me do a 2.4-mile one-way paddle on the lake, and picked me up at Reno Cove.
