Considering how to take off and put on the glasses at the start and end of totality, I had the clever idea to add a string lanyard to them. It kind of worked, but actually they blew around my neck in the wind and were annoying, especially combined with binoculars. I took them off and didn't use them for totality. Instead we shared my #14 welder's glass filter and a pinhole mirror projection.
