Wednesday afternoon I went alone for a walk to the "good cellphone spot" about a third of a mile away, where I checked in with the world for maybe half an hour. Then it was so pretty out, I kept going -- ending up being nearly a 2.5 hour hike that covered 3.9 miles!

This is a telephoto view south across South Park to Black Mountain, 46(!) miles distant, where abide the oldest known living trees in the Rocky Mountains.
