We came up prepared to spend time before sunset just digging out a parking place off the plowed main road, then postholing through 2-3' drifts to reach the cabin. To my surprise, despite a very heavy snow winter, recent warm and dry weather had caused major melting (perhaps a month early) such that the first turn down the driveway required almost no digging at all.
So instead I worked on leveling the next drift. We plowed more than halfway down the long driveway before getting stuck, dug out, went further, and ultimately parked maybe 30' from the building after about an hour of effort.
