From my friend who works at BC Granite, I get small chunks of odd countertop stones to smooth off in my tire grinder, along with metal shapes, including these expensive, formerly diamond-coated grinding bits. After they are smoothed and cleaned I spray them with acrylic gloss. I turned some of them into a "wind chime" that they hung on their forklift!
