Nemesis wall 1.0: Last spring for the first time, for unknown reasons a backyard cottontail rabbit (or several) started dining on my garden seedlings. I nicknamed it "Nemesis". Very annoying, I had to wrap plastic around many plants and fawn over them to come back to life.
This season I'm going to see if building a low step-over wall suffices to keep the critter out of the main garden. It's not that pretty, but at least I constructed it entirely out of available materials -- the last 48 spare bricks, some lumber, and some extra flat paving stones. Fortunately the fences on the south and west sides are solid.
